Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them

So I adventured out to the movie theater the second I got off work and met my sister to see the movie we had both been waiting to see, Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them!

Now I am a big fan of Eddie Redmayne so when I had seen he was going to be in this movie it made me even more excited for this movie. Now I had to tell people all the time that this was not a Harry Potter movie this was a whole new story and a whole new story line.

For all of you wondering what this movie is about here is what google says:

The year is 1926, and Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident, were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

I loved getting to see the setting of this story being in America and seeing the American Wizards and Witches and how they have to hide themselves just like the ones in the United Kingdom. Except Newt doesn’t always follow the rules and get himself into a lot of trouble. Also the whole American Wizard school Ilvermonry and just so everyone knows I sorted myself into the house on Pottermore and I am a proud Thunderbird!

We also get to meet a lot of new characters as well as get to hear the mentioning of old characters we had heard of from the Harry Potter series like Dumbledore and we got to hear and see Gellert Grindelwald which is a dark wizard who is ranked number 2 behind Lord Voldemort on the Most Dangerous Dark Wizards of All Time. For people who only know the Harry Potter series, he was Dumbledores friend and was seen being played by both Jamie Campbell Bower, as the young Grindelwald and Michael Bryne as the older version of the character in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

Now like everyone else I’m kind of curious how they are going to bring this story to life in 5 different movies and not repeat itself, but then again J.K. Rowling did right the screenplays for each of the movies and she clearly knows how to write so it should be good!

I loved the movie and how they brought a whole other character to life in the Harry Potter universe that will get to carry on the Harry Potter fans to a whole new series of characters.
